Carbon Art Shark Trust Mako Paperweight
This sculpture, specially designed for the Shark Trust by renowned sculptor Alastair Gibson, shows a stylised engineered Shortfin Mako shark mounted on a pair of clutch plates recycled from a modern F1 GP car.
Selected parts and materials used in the sculpture are parts from modern F1 Grand Prix cars as listed below:
Shark: Re-engineered from the original 'racing mako' sculpture. This fish is made from 3 ply/layers 2 x 2 twill of 200 gsm carbon fibre, photo etched stainless steel fins and mouth, ABS centre section, a vinyl transfer with a UV protective clear coat and a stainless steel mounting rod.
Mounting: A pair of clutch plates used in the Force India GP Cars.
